Night of Champions at ETSU

ETSU

As the school year ends, there are many reasons for students to celebrate. The student athletes had wins to celebrate this week at the Night of Champions at ETSU.

This night has become a tradition for the university. The night honors teams, players, coaches and seniors for what they’ve accomplished while at ETSU.

This night may be the only night to see some players out of their uniforms or practice jerseys.

The semi-formal event began with a blue carpet. There, two athletes hosted and asked questions to players. The questions ranged from what was your favorite moment of the season to what’s your spirit animal. The carpet was full of laughs and sentimental moments.

Coach Brittany Ezell was named Coach of the Year for ETSU and accredited her seniors while on the carpet. The soccer team spoke of a players shining moment with a winning goal against South Carolina University.

After the carpet, everyone watched clips of interviews from senior players. Some players had comical impressions of their coaches and others shared what it meant to be a Buc. There was also play highlights from all the sports from this year.

Graduation for the senior athletes is May 9th.
